Black-Out Window Treatments for Better Sleep

I like a dark bedroom. I keep as many layers as possible between myself and the sun when trying to sleep. If you sleep better in darkness, there are a couple of alternatives to blankets (or, heaven forbid, aluminum foil). Blackout Shades -One of the lowest cost and most effective solutions is a blackout roller shade. For even greater darkness, mount the shade so it trails behind the roller, so light can’t seep between the shade and the side of the frame. Some black out shades are not very decorative, so 1 Call Interior Services also sells shades in pairs housed in a single header, with a decorative one in front and the blackout shade behind it. This is called a dual shade. Cellular Shades - If roller shades aren’t to your liking, try blackout cellular shades. The solid opaque backing on the shade allows for almost 100% black out as opposed to the standard light filtering cellular shades.
